Interesting new releases

A lot of new stuff has seen the light of the day. Here's some of the ones i can recommend/had time to put up here.

BRUDTE LØFTER 2 x EP's: UNG DUM OG DESPERAT + HÅRDT MILJØ
These guys released no less than 2 EP's. Both releases are good, and delivers a sound reminding me a lot of Incontrollados. Low-fi punk-rock'n'roll mixed with hardcore aesthetics, attitude and lyrics.

HAPPY HOOKERS FOR JESUS  7'' EP
Punk-rockers from various Århus bands, including now dead and gone Urban Achievers (or are they, i'm confused!?), teams up. Grunge-ish punk with a postpunk-touch. A solid release, and so far i can see the debut for theese guys. "Stab You" is by far one of the best newer danish punk-tracks i've heard for some time.

REEFER - BOW BEFORE THE ALTAR OF THE DRUGS, MC
Heavy, doomy stuff featuring people from MOLD, SCAVENGER BRATS and UNDERGANG. Very bassy and dirty, definately lives up to their name. This tape is their first release.

SWARM - S/T DEMO, MC
Sludgy hardcore with significant grind-elements from the capital of Jutland, Århus. Consists of members from H1N1 among others. These guys delivers a good live-act, and their first release lives up to what you'd expect. Fans of Massgrave will most probable digg this.

AMDI PETERSENS ARMÉ (APA), LP
I have to admit that i for obvious reasons have not seen this release IRL yet, but you know it'll be a winner. APA really needs no introduction if you just know a little bit about the K-Town scene, so lets leave this at that.

And just to clarify: be quick about this one, because it's limited (200 copies) and people in this town will buy it up really quick.

MÄRESVIN, S/T MC
Local loonies Märesvin mixes up thrash, powerviolence as well as grindcore, and the result is one hell of a stand-out liveact. Very special, very nerdy - both meant in the good way (!). Their first release looks and sounds really good, so if you're into them, go get it.

RELEASES COMING UP
Of course i can't cover everything, but if you dig hardcore then you should take a look at Adult Crash from time to time, since they'll soon put out the DEATH TOKEN DLP and the AGENT ATTITUDE LP. 

Festival heads-up

The 2013-programme for the three Ungdomshuset-festivals are released/in the middle of release, so if you're up for that go check it out.

• Heavy Days in Doomtown's programme have been all released by now. The festival is taking place in the first weekend of may.  See it here
• K-Town Hardcore Fest's programme is being released in two rounds, and the first have just started. The festival is taking place in the 3rd weekend of june. See it here
• ... and finally Kill-Town Death Fest's programme is like K-town's being released in rounds, and the first one is up now. The festival is taking place in the last week of august and first weekend of september.  See it here

Rumors on other festivals and major events:

• In may (10th-12th) there will be a new punk and hardcore-festival in Kolding. The festival is named Slice Fest. Check it out here. 
• Punk Illegal (swedish festival) will not take place in its original form, but will be a two-day indoor festival at 128:an (old Härden) in Gothenburg.
• In the first weekend of august, Ungdomshuset will host it's birthday-party. So far Antisect have been confirmed.
• In the last weekend of september there will be a grind-minifestival in Ungdomshuset. No more info on that yet.
• Rumor has it, that this years Copenhell-programme sucks (except King Diamond).
