The blog
I've updated things a bit. Check the calendar for a pretty massive programme for the autumn. We've got A LOT of touring bands headed our way - so take a look and make some marks in your calendar.

LOCAL RELEASES
On the record-front there's not been a lot of releases during the summer itself, which seems to be because a lot of the productions have taken part in the summer period. Makes sense. Here's some of the things i'd recommend:

BOTTOM FEEDER - GRINDING TEETH LP 
Copenhagen sludgers Bottom Feeders first full-length record, featuring a lot of new material. If you haven't heard them before, think heavy (duh...) and distorted sludge with intense and terrifying vocals - backed up by really well performed solos. Take a listen to one of the tracks here - out on Raw Birth Records for 100 dkk (can also be found at Repo Man).

SCAVENGER BRATS - ELECTRIC DEATH reissue MC
These guys do thrash, and they do it well. This tape was first released (if i recal it right) in the spring, but the band quickly ran out of copies, so now there's a repress out. Think energetic thrash - and definately for fans of Antichrist. Take a listen here and get it from the band (or soon from Ungdomshusets distro). 20 dkk.

DRY HEAVES Gi'ore EP
I've mentioned this one before, so this will be quick: Catchy hardcore-punk. Played K-Town Hardcore Fest '13. Must have - get it. Adult crash (almost sold out). 40 dkk as i recall it (or something in that area...).

MÄRESVIN and SWARM will release their split 7-inch on august 23rd at Ungdomshuset. Aggro grind meets powerviolence.

Records and rumours!

Time for some recommendations, rumours and more shittalk on new and coming releases!

Recently released, DEATH TOKEN'S DLP, dubbed "They Worship Us" has arrived. As expected, the record was everything you could hope for, both sound-wise as well as the nerdy part of it. The record features every EP (also the split) that Death Token released, as well as some early demo-recordings and other goodies. It comes in a limited and a non-limited version, the limited one being on white vinyl - classy. Find it at Ungdomshusets distro or at Adult Crash. You can also read Mr. Franco's review of it here.

Adult Crash' been busy, because as earlier mentioned, swedish AGENT ATTITUDE just released their debut s/t LP. Catchy and fast hardcore that reminds one of Fy Fan/Nitad. This one also comes in a limited and regular version, the limited being on red vinyl. Find it at Ungdomshusets distro or at Adult Crash.

... by the way: The Amdi Petersens Armé discography LP has been sold out, but! There will be a re-release in a non-limited version, so if you want it, it'll be availible soon at Hjernespind. 

And now for the more or less confirmed rumours:

HALSHUG, will be releasing their debut EP soon. It will feature four tracks of crusty d-beat hardcore for fans of Death Token and similar dark hc bands. By the way, they need help for an upcoming tour - check their tourplan via the provided link. There's also a sneak peek at their new stuff up on K-Town Hardcore Fest' site

SWARM and MÄRESVIN will do a split 7-inch sooner than later. The material is done, and as far as i've understood, the pressing is all that's left before the actual release. The two bands perform grind/crust, Swarm being in a sludgy direction while Märesvin is thrash-influenced. Interesting release!

Two death metal-releases will take place very soon on Serpent Pulse. Local REVERIE joins the Kill Town Death Metal-family with a debut MC, and old-timers INIQUITY will have their first demos released on vinyl as well. In the death-metal category, a new band called THE LAST AGE will release their debut (on MC & the web) in not too long.

Other than that, DOGMATIST, THE WAR GOES ON, DRY HEAVES (from the UK - performing at K-Town 2013) and NIGHT FEVER all have upcoming releases on Adult Crash. Last, but definately not least, BOTTOM FEEDER today announced a LP-release on Raw Birth Records.

BRUDTE LØFTER 2 x EP's: UNG DUM OG DESPERAT + HÅRDT MILJØ
These guys released no less than 2 EP's. Both releases are good, and delivers a sound reminding me a lot of Incontrollados. Low-fi punk-rock'n'roll mixed with hardcore aesthetics, attitude and lyrics.

HAPPY HOOKERS FOR JESUS  7'' EP
Punk-rockers from various Århus bands, including now dead and gone Urban Achievers (or are they, i'm confused!?), teams up. Grunge-ish punk with a postpunk-touch. A solid release, and so far i can see the debut for theese guys. "Stab You" is by far one of the best newer danish punk-tracks i've heard for some time.

REEFER - BOW BEFORE THE ALTAR OF THE DRUGS, MC
Heavy, doomy stuff featuring people from MOLD, SCAVENGER BRATS and UNDERGANG. Very bassy and dirty, definately lives up to their name. This tape is their first release.

SWARM - S/T DEMO, MC
Sludgy hardcore with significant grind-elements from the capital of Jutland, Århus. Consists of members from H1N1 among others. These guys delivers a good live-act, and their first release lives up to what you'd expect. Fans of Massgrave will most probable digg this.

AMDI PETERSENS ARMÉ (APA), LP
I have to admit that i for obvious reasons have not seen this release IRL yet, but you know it'll be a winner. APA really needs no introduction if you just know a little bit about the K-Town scene, so lets leave this at that.

MÄRESVIN, S/T MC
Local loonies Märesvin mixes up thrash, powerviolence as well as grindcore, and the result is one hell of a stand-out liveact. Very special, very nerdy - both meant in the good way (!). Their first release looks and sounds really good, so if you're into them, go get it.

Of course i can't cover everything, but if you dig hardcore then you should take a look at Adult Crash from time to time, since they'll soon put out the DEATH TOKEN DLP and the AGENT ATTITUDE LP. 

Festival heads-up

The 2013-programme for the three Ungdomshuset-festivals are released/in the middle of release, so if you're up for that go check it out.

• Heavy Days in Doomtown's programme have been all released by now. The festival is taking place in the first weekend of may.  See it here
• K-Town Hardcore Fest's programme is being released in two rounds, and the first have just started. The festival is taking place in the 3rd weekend of june. See it here
• ... and finally Kill-Town Death Fest's programme is like K-town's being released in rounds, and the first one is up now. The festival is taking place in the last week of august and first weekend of september.  See it here

Rumors on other festivals and major events:

• In may (10th-12th) there will be a new punk and hardcore-festival in Kolding. The festival is named Slice Fest. Check it out here. 
• Punk Illegal (swedish festival) will not take place in its original form, but will be a two-day indoor festival at 128:an (old Härden) in Gothenburg.
• In the first weekend of august, Ungdomshuset will host it's birthday-party. So far Antisect have been confirmed.
• In the last weekend of september there will be a grind-minifestival in Ungdomshuset. No more info on that yet.
• Rumor has it, that this years Copenhell-programme sucks (except King Diamond).

Adobe CS2 is now 100% free, so for all you graphic creators, go get it if you haven't got a good program already. The cool thing with an official release is, that everything works.
But yeah its outdated, so if you want the newest stuff, you know how to do.

The package includes the whole thing, which for newcomers is programs such as Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and Premiere.
